In a world seeking the key to eternal youth, The Yoga Facelift offers noninvasive, spiritually uplifting yoga exercises to look and feel your best.  The author writes, “Yoga exercises are as mentally and spiritually beneficial as they are physically beneficial.  In stark contrast to surgery, yoga exercises create change from within by bringing the mind and body into harmony.”  Rather than focus on what we don’t like about our bodies, The Yoga Facelift, attempts to unite the “fragments” of the soul and bring them into harmony.  It is a whole approach to health, rather than unilateral physiology.  It only takes a willingness to take the time to begin and maintain the program that best suits you.  There is a variety of ways you can personalize the concepts within the book.  There are no expensive procedures, equipment, or chemical remedies…just a mirror and the book.

The author states that results may be seen in as little as two to three weeks.

The Quick Lift- when you are ready for a maintenance program, it takes only two to three minutes each day.

To begin the basic program, the author offers various full body warm up and stretch exercises, as well as exercises for improving circulation.  She then moves to the Neck area, impressively demonstrated by pictures of the movements for each posture and exercise.  Then we move on to the Jawline, Cheeks, Lips and Mouth, Eyes, and finally the Forehead and Scalp.  Nadeau makes clear to the reader that he/she may pick and choose exercises that correspond to specific areas of interest.  This program is truly versatile and easy to initiate because of the author’s superb organization and expansive repertoire.

The next section focuses on the Facelift Series, they “combine physical movement with mental focus, and very effective at creating lift in the entire face.”

Yoga is a popular program today due to it’s rejuvenation of the whole person.  Nadeau devotes a section to relaxation and rejuvenation, a definite plus in today’s fast paced world.

The book attends to the power of belief and how important and significant a role it plays in these exercises as well as in life.  “The power to make the change is in your hands.  In fact, it’s really the heart of the secret.  The plastic surgeon can’t make you beautiful-it is not in his hands, it is in yours.  You have the power within your self-you just have to know how to tap into it and how to use it.”

After the layout of each exercise, beginning, intermediate, and advanced forms, areas to be worked, and approximate time it takes to perform each task, the author informs the reader about the various aspects of the aging process and offers a multitude of information on beauty remedies.

The Yoga Facelift is a lot of bang for your buck.  The author is an expert in the industry and generously shares her wisdom with you, the reader.  If you have been looking for an alternative to western medicine and plastic surgery, this is the book for you.  It is chock full of ways to take your health into your own hands, empowering you to start now.  The Yoga Facelift is a beautifully designed guide to harmony and health.
