It’s About the Rose

 by Karen Marie Garrett

This album had it all for me. And that is truly the gift of a talented writer & performer, when the consumer thinks an entire collection of work was created just for her. I have played this CD again & again, and have heard something new in it, with each session.

My favorite cut is the 1st one, “It’s About the Rose in the Vase on the Table”.. the sweet strains of Ms Garrett at the piano, just pull you in. And the next cut involves a cello; I don’t need to repeat how much I do love me some cello. “Tally’s Lullaby” was written in memory of a beloved Labrador retriever, which lost a battle with cancer. “Daydreams” was also especially resonant with me.

This music is good for simple enjoyment on its own, or for use with massage, meditation, or (especially) romantic interludes.

Karen Marie Garrett is accompanied by musical artists, Derrik Jordan, Eugene Friesen, Jeff Oster, Noah Wilding, Steve Schuch, T-Bone Wolk, and Will Ackerman, each a leading talent in their own right. Combined with Ms Garrett’s skill and prowess, they create a fantastic sound.

I know our listeners will enjoy this album for many years to come. It can be obtained online at: www.KGPIANO.com (where you may also learn more about the artist) and www.waterstreetrecords.com

Happy Listening!
