I love to read books that are informative, entertaining & help me know a little more about my inner workings. “The Gods Within” suited that bill to a tee. After the intro chapter, was a self test to see just which archetypes are helping you run your life. I was rather amazed at my list! But you’ll have to do it for yourself & see where it takes you.
As well as exposing more of what makes you tick… the book is a veritable treasure trove of Greek Mythology. It had been awhile since I had studied all the philosophers, & this book refreshed all I’d read & studied in the past.
Each archetype is covered by characteristics, symbols, meditations, actions, etc. Making the book totally interactive with timeouts for ‘examining your attitudes and feelings’. While I studied my own list of archetypes, I read each of the summaries of the other types; and found them very revealing.
The author Peter Lemesurier, is a Cambridge –trained linguist, teacher & bestselling author. I know you will enjoy his exclusive writings on the ‘Circle of Knowing’.
I highly recommend this book to the seeker who wants to delve deeper into his psyche and study those parts that may lay in the shadows.
